How we protect your data

Surge Jobs needs some personal details to find jobs and apply for you. Here's what we hold, how it's protected, who processes it, and how to delete it.
Your data is private to you, encrypted whenever it travels, and never sold or used for advertising. Nothing goes to an employer without your tap (or the auto-apply limits you set), and you can delete everything anytime.
What we hold
- Your CV and the profile we read from it: name, contact email, experience, education and skills, plus anything you add in the chat.
- Your email address, and, if you connect your email account, access to send your applications and find replies to them.
- Your job preferences: roles, places, salary, work type, deal-breakers, and answers employers' forms ask for (such as right to work or notice period).
- Your chat history with Surge Jobs, and the jobs, applications and replies we track for you. Files and voice notes you send are read, not kept.
Encrypted and private
- Every connection is encrypted (HTTPS), and chat messages travel over the encrypted connections of LINE, WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Our daily database backups are encrypted with AES-256 and older ones are deleted automatically.
- We never ask for your email password. You connect your email through a secure sign-in page, and you can disconnect it anytime.
- Your matches, CV versions and applications are visible only to you. Employers only receive what you approve to send, or what auto-apply sends within the limits you set.
- When we check your email, we only look for replies to the applications you sent.
- Tailored CVs sit at private links that can't be guessed. They're kept for 90 days so employers can open them, then deleted. Other files we create for you are deleted after 7 days.
Never sold, never used for advertising
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
- AI processing is done by our AI provider. Details: Privacy Policy.
Who processes it
- Your chat app (WhatsApp, Telegram or LINE): delivers messages between you and Surge Jobs.
- An AI provider: reads your CV, matches jobs and drafts your applications.
- An email-connection service: securely connects your email account, so applications go from your own address and replies can be found.
- Your email provider (for example Gmail): sends your applications and holds the replies.
- An email-sending service: sends emails from our own address when needed.
- A payment processor: takes card payments. Your card details go to the processor, not to us.
- Cloud hosting providers: host our servers, database and this website.

- Employers and their job sites: receive only the applications you approve.
Delete your data
- Type delete my data in the chat. After you confirm, your profile, CV, preferences, matches, applications and chat history are deleted. It can't be undone.
- Type export my data first if you'd like a copy.
- Reply STOP anytime to stop messages you didn't ask for.
